ANTHONY S. KENDALL SELECTED AS NEXT
CEO OF MITCHELL & TITUS LLP
NEW YORK July 9, 2009 — The partnership of Mitchell & Titus LLP (mitchelltitus.com), the largest minority-controlled accounting, audit, tax and business advisory firm in the United States, and one respected nationally for its outstanding professionalism, has selected Anthony “Tony” Kendall to lead the firm as chief executive officer effective January 1, 2009. Currently, Kendall serves as the firm’s vice chairman of client services and managing partner of the New York office. The firm’s founder Bert N. Mitchell, who has served as CEO and chairman of the board for nearly 35 years, will officially retire on December 31, 2008, but will remain chairman of the board until 2010.
“Tony has contributed immensely to the success of Mitchell & Titus and he is passionate about the firm and its mission. I believe he will lead the firm to great heights in the years ahead,” said Mitchell. “We are truly fortunate to have a strong leader who is a home-grown talent fully ready to take over the reins.”
Kendall has a 17 year history with the firm, having joined as a manager in 1991 from Arthur Andersen. He was admitted to the partnership in 1996, named New York managing partner in 2000, and appointed to vice chairman of client services in 2004. He also serves on the firm’s executive committee.

Kendall is a certified public accountant in New York and in several other states. He is also a certified fraud examiner. He has provided audit services to Fortune 1000 companies, major telecommunications corporations, multimedia companies, emerging market entities, advocacy groups, private foundations, and federal commissions. He has an MBA in Finance and Taxation and a B.S. in Accounting from Binghamton University. Kendall is also a graduate of the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School. He is the current president of the Binghamton University Alumni Association. Kendall also serves on the board of directors for Project Renewal, Inc., the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, the Queens Cadet Corporation and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants’ Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession Program.
